A page layout holds together all the content on your website. The layout defines the pixel distances and dimensions of your images and text. Since the early 2000’s most websites can easily be broken down into a series of tables or grids made up of columns and rows.
In the early days of the web, fonts were really restricted to a set of web safe fonts that lots of users had in common. Thankfully today there are thousands of fonts available either for free from the likes of Google Fonts or paid such as Adobe Typekit.
Quality of code
There are many best practices that don’t just result in a stunning design to the end user but also all the important details that search engine robots crawl your website. This includes using header tags throughout a page and W3C Markup Validation.
