Someone to look after your website.
A price changes. You have new photos. The website needs to catch up. Send the changes to me, and you’re talking to someone who already knows the site.
Tell me what needs looking afterWhat the monthly fee covers
Care is £99 a month. That pays for the hosting that keeps your website online, plus up to an hour of changes each month.
The hour is for everyday details: a price that needs correcting, a new photograph, an explanation that’s gone out of date. How much fits into an hour depends on the changes.
You deal with me directly. I’m Matt, and I write and build the websites at designaway. I’m on the Isle of Wight and work with businesses across the UK.
How Care fits your website
After a Rebuild or Grow launch
Care is required with Rebuild and Grow, at £99/month from launch. It’s priced separately from the project, so you know the ongoing cost before you agree to the build.
And once the site is live, I’m still the person you contact.
If you already have a WordPress website
Rescue is for an existing WordPress site whose design still suits you. I move it off WordPress to a simpler home and keep the design and page addresses as they are.
Rescue costs £99/month for the first 12 months, £1,188 in total. Hosting and Care are already in that price. You don’t pay another £99 on top.
I spent more than 16 years working with WordPress. I build with Astro now. If your site has to stay on WordPress and you need someone to maintain it there, that’s outside this offer. Tell me about any particular features before we talk about a move.
Sending a change
Email, phone or WhatsApp all work. Start with a link to the page and a short note on what needs changing, plus any replacement wording or images you already have.
If you’re not sure what the page should say, tell me what’s changed in the business. We can work out what’s needed before agreeing the work.
You shouldn’t have to learn a website editor just to keep your opening hours right.
What about larger changes or new articles?
The allowance is up to one hour a month. A new service page or a bigger change needs a conversation about the work first. Ask before assuming it fits.
For regular new content, Grow includes three months of writing after a new website launches, drawn from a 45-minute conversation each month. Further three-month blocks cost £500. That writing is separate from Care.
Comparing website care plans
“Website care” means different things to different people. A WordPress maintenance plan might be mostly software updates. Another arrangement might be hosting and nothing else.
Mine is what’s on this page: hosting and up to an hour of changes for websites I look after, with Rescue as the route for suitable existing WordPress sites. If your business depends on something else, ask before we agree the service.
